Pilgrim Lee

So I may be behind the times somewhat in only just discovering the fantastic Mollie Makes magazine, but a couple of months ago I discovered these fantastic pictures of the beautiful home of Pilgrim Lee.  For those of you that don’t know me very well, one of my biggest loves is interior design and colour.  I spend hours scouring through magazines checking out beautiful homes so it’s no surprise that these amazing colours and vintage fabrics caught my eye!

Check out these amazing cushions made with gorgeous vintage fabrics!

Head on over to her website here and check out her prints at her etsy store for some colour inspiration!

Beg Bikes

I have a confession.  I have an obsession with these gorgeous bikes.  Perfect for summer around the corner, but the question is which one to go for, the lovely Betty or the equally vintage beauty Bella?

And the best part is that they are part of the cycle to work scheme.  The government’s cycle to work initiative meaning bike’s are tax free if your employer signs up!  I can definitely see myself flying around London with a basket full of flowers in one of these!

Also, check out the accessories too which are just as lovely.

Aka Tombo

A couple of weeks ago, I was scouring for beautiful hats for Ascot and I came across these little beauties!

I love the vintage style and the amazing tweed fabric and feathers they are made with.  Check out the Etsy Aka Tombo shop here.

Feast

Last Sunday I went down to set up a little stall in West Norwood for the first time at the very lovely Feast market.  The monthly Feast shindig is a volunteer run street market giving local traders and businesses the chance to get involved.  It’s a great way to bring people together in the local community.  The market is split into four buzzy little hubs.  The Retro village, The Gardener’s corner, The Food Fair and an Artisan’s market which is the section that I had the pleasure of taking part in with lots of other crafty minded people.

The crowds came out in force despite the rainy weather and we were even treated to some local bands to liven up the atmosphere!  Definitely pop down if you’re in local next month!

This is me.

Eek.  So here goes, deep breath.  Howdy.  My name is Sarah and i like cushions.  I have an obsession, not only with making cushions but with all things vintage, colour and fabric.  A couple of summer's ago this is where is all began.  In my back garden, with a vintage tea set and some fabric scraps and i've pretty much not turned back.  Since then i've spent many a day scouring London markets for vintage fabric and new projects, but it's finally time to get myself out there a bit.  Wherever 'there' maybe, this is my little journey and i hope you will follow with me..
